Ten Points of Redevelopment from Eugene Gamble
by Stewart Lanier on April 9, 2005 09:12PM (EDT)
Ten Points are necessary for Redevelopment/Transformation to occur
1. Expect people to seriously engage in Scripture and teach them how to do it.
2. Pray more than may be fashionable and use fewer words.
3. Personally and as a community, develop the discipline of tithing
4. Treat others with extraordinary respect, as we would treat Jesus Christ.
5. Rehearse daily our identity in Christ Jesus.
6. Choose to love the church, but to love God more.
7. Take some risks and do it scared.
8. Be careful what you hate -the line between what and who is easily crossed
9. Learn to cherish failure, not just accept and learn from it.
10. Choose as a discipline of life to give more air time to our good news rather than our bad news.
